☕Five Siblings United Became Agents of Change.... Numbers 27:1-11
The Daughters of Zelophehad were Trail Blazers for their Generation. They were Women of Valor. Stand up and be counted, that was what the five brave women who fought for their inheritance did.
They had the courage to face the leadership for change. They paved the way for future generations not only in gaining access to their inheritance, but also in bringing about amendments to the existing law.
This is no small matter. The sense of responsibility to one's ancestors is of paramount value within Judaism. The worst punishment is to blot out a name as commanded to do regarding Amalek Deuteronomy 25:19. The daughters understood this and was willing to take the matter right to the top.
Zelophehad had five daughters, Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. He had no sons. His five daughters belonged to the new generation that would enter and possess the Promised Land.
The name Zelophehad means “protection against fear.“
What is the one thing that will protect us against Fear?
It is Faith!
The five siblings had Faith in abundance. When they realised that as daughters they were not going to have any real estate with their names on it when they entered the Promised Land, they went boldly to argue their case.
Sometimes we feel that once we are saved, everything will fall into our lap! We need to have Faith to stand up for what is right, after taking it to God first.
Their Faith in Yahweh as their Protector to intervene for them brought results not only for their present situation, but for ALL women, in this situation, for generations to come!
When they brought their case to Moses, they reminded him about their father's good character and that he was not among the rebels, and therefore, they had the right to preserve his legacy, Numbers 27:3-4.The men in the camp must have been overwhelmed when they saw such a startling, unprecedented situation! More than simply seeking clarification, they bring about change.
As a result of their faith and determined effort, they were given a portion just the same as the men. They were young and focused, even though they had suffered a huge loss without their father’s protection. But clearly, this father had raised them to walk with the Lord and to have faith. They knew right from wrong which is why their request was granted from the Lord, Numbers 7:6-13.
Dear Child of God, Remember this, God will sometimes take us through a Painful Path before we get our rightful inheritance. We need to step out in Faith, outside our comfort zone, in our feeble state, trusting God, never giving up, always praying, confronting what is wrong to put it right, before we can see God working through us to bring change for Generations to come. The siblings United were a unique and powerful force to reckon with.
"Bringing about change takes a shared vision, even though there may be periods of time when one has to stand alone. God is raising up His daughters globally and their voices are being heard, more so in this generation but we got a long way to go for every woman in every community to stand up and be counted. We should be the voice for the voiceless, taking our cases to God first for the Divine Wisdom to become agents of change. Be the Change to change...Amen

There is nothing unusual for one child in a family to shine for God. But it is a Rare, Uncommon and Infrequent for all the children in a family to be used mightily by God. Such an Unusual Family is mentioned in the Bible. This requests a closer look and a deeper study.
The name of Amram's wife was Jochebed the daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt; and to Amram she bore Aaron and Moses and their sister Miriam (Num 26:59).
There are but a few verses about Amram and Jochebed. But those verses portray their exemplary, godly life. Therefore, from these few verses let us study what their God-fearing life teaches us.
Amram and Jochebed had a deep-rooted faith in God. By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents (Heb 11:23). These parents Trusted God and Believed Him in the Darkest and Dreadful political situation.
Jochebed saw that her third new born child was beautiful. It may not mean beauty in appearance. But the Bible says: And when she saw that he was a beautiful child (Ex 2:2). In her spirit she felt and realized that this son was unusual, and God had a special plan for him.
Amram and Jochebed were not scared about the King’s command and boldly hid baby Moses for three months in their house. The Bible clearly mentions this: and they were not afraid of the king's command (Heb 11:23). They Dared to Defy the orders of the king with Discretion.
Amram and Jochebed trained their older kids, Miriam and Aaron not to reveal to anyone about baby Moses. They would not have used threats to keep their mouths closed. But would have spent time explaining the crisis in the best way.
Jochebed hid her son for three months. When it became impossible to hide him further, she made an ark, laid him in it and placed it among the reeds of Nile. And made Miriam the elder one to hide and watch and the rest is well known to us.
Amram and Jochebed would have certainly spent hours praying for baby Moses when he was in the ark. They would have continued to pray ardently for Moses as he grew up in the palace.
Amram and Jochebed Trained Miriam to speak intelligently to Pharaoh’s daughter. Later when she had to nurse Moses, she would have definitely Taught the little one about the God of Israel. Miriam and Aaron would have also been taught about the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Let Go Off Parents
Amram and Jochebed had to let go off Moses to Pharaoh’s daughter after he was weaned. Jochebed trusted God and handed baby Moses to Pharoah's daughter.
These parents Allowed All their three children to do God’s work in God’s way. They never hindered their children from doing His mission.
God honoured the faith of Amram and Jochebed. Their three children, Miriam, Aaron and Moses were used mightily by God and had a Definite Role to Play in the history of the Israelites from Egypt to the Promised Land.
Amram and Jochebed
silently teach us to:
Be Sensitive to God
Be Bold for Him
Pray for our Children
Train our Children
Let go Off Children
God bless us to be channels of blessings.

Preservation of the children of korah
Num 26:11... Children of korah did not die as the children of Dathan and Abiram because they did not join the rebellion with their own father.when the lord told the people to pull back from the tents of the rebels, sons of korah obeyed.
Earlier in Numb 16:1,it was four men who rebelled against Moses. But On backed out.
They were spared judgement because they didnot join the rebellion.God blesses them. The descendants of the sons of korah were song leaders of God's people in David's time. They wrote PS 42 to 49,84,85 Ps 46:1,2 says God is our refuge and strength,an ever present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give away and the mountains fall...
The descendants became gatekeepers(1 chron 9:19) and musicans in the temple.
In Ps 84:10 it says.... I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked
We should not question God's doing or covet other people's ministry.and we should not rebel against Gods chosen leader.
Lord help us to obey the leader thro ' whom your plan is revealed.
