He was Gracious, Compassionate, Slow to Anger, Abounding in Love, Faithful and Forgiving.
The six miracles were:
He brought the Israelites out of the terrible bondage in Egypt.
He divided the waters of the Red Sea and made a dry path for the Israelites.
He changed the bitter water into sweet water.
He brought a huge amount of water from a dry rock to quench their thirst.
He poured manna from heaven for their food.
He provided them with abundance of quails to satisfy their longing for meat.
After all these miracles could they forget such an awesome God?
® They were so stiff necked and rebellious and sinned against God. They complained to Aaron who was consecrated as their priest. He should have advised them not to be rebellious but wait patiently for Moses who was with God on the mountain.
Instead he asked them to remove their gold jewels and made them a golden calf. The people blinded by Satan said, "These are the gods that brought us out of Egypt".
Aaron made an altar in front of the calf to sacrifice offerings. After that they drank and indulged in revelry.
God knew all this and His anger rose against the Israelites and He wanted to destroy these people. But Moses sought the favour and mercy of God and asked Him not to bring disaster.
God relented and did not bring disaster on the people. Moses went down the mountain with the two stone tablets. The Tablets were the Work of God and the Writing was the Writing of God Engraved on the Tablets.
When Moses saw the calf and the people dancing, he was very angry and threw the two tablets and broke them. He burnt the calf in the fire ground it to powder scattered it on the water and made the people drink it.
Though the Lord did not destroy them, He punished them by striking them with a plague.
Self check for the day.
Has ingratitude towards God crept into my life?
Have I forgotten the great things the Lord has done for me?
Do I give heed to Satan and displease God with my words and actions?
Let us wait with PATIENCE and FAITH for a miracle or an answer to our Prayer when it tarries.

The Book Written By God
As I was meditating on Exodus 32, I found the conversation in between God and Moses to be interesting ( 32 : 7-13 ; 31-33 )
The making and worshipping the golden calf was a very serious issue, because within 40 days of agreeing to the covenant based on the Ten Commandments, the Israelites broke the first two commandments.
The Lord was about to destroy the Israelites but Moses began to intercede. In his plea for forgiveness, he wants his own name to be removed ( if needed) from the Lord's book.
✒ Moses prayed, "... please forgive their sin - but if not then blot me out of the book you have written ". Ex 32:32
✒ The Lord replied, " Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book" Ex 32:33.
How good it is to know that God has already written a book and He keeps record.
Is it a book where all the names of the people are written? And after that the names of the unrighteous people are blotted out?
✅ Psalmist mentioned, the book of life where the names of the unrighteous people are not to be listed along with the righteous people. Psalm 69:28. In this book God writes the names of the righteous who will be saved from judgement (Phil 4:3 ; Rev 3:5 ). In OT, the blotting out of the names from the book are mentioned, which shows that the people were aware of it (Deut 29:20 ; 2Kin 14:27 ; Ps 9:5 ;69:28)
✒ Rev 20:12. John gives us the information about the books at the end time. He mentioned the book of life along with other books (the books that records all human deeds ).
I do not know how many books are written by God, and how many books ( v 12c ) will be opened at the judgement Seat of Our Lord Jesus Christ besides the book of life.✝
One thing is clear, "If anyone's name is not found written in the book of life, he will be thrown into the lake of fire".
But I believe that our names are written in the book of life.
When the roll is called up yonder I will be there

Am I His buddy?⚡
We see several hearty conversations of Moses with God in the chapter of exodus.The child like desire of Moses to see Gods face and the way in which God accomplish that is truly enchanting.
Just like a loving father satisfying the childish desire of his dear little one..God is keeping Moses in the cleft of the rock,then hides his face with His hand and allowing him to see only the backside of Himself.How beautiful is this awesome picture of Gods love!!
Then again in Matthew 17;1-8...we see a Moses who finally accomplished his desire at the Mount of transfiguration...where Moses and Elijah converses with Jesus.!
I am thinking how lucky we all are who now lives in the Grace Era.
JESUS has extended His warm invitation to all of us to become His dear children.
To see always His face..to live in communion and constant fellowship with Him...Do we realize this great previlege?Are we bold enough to receive this inheritance?
✅May this bible study help us each day to grow upto this....We can really become Gods buddies!!
Exodus 33:14-16:- “And God said, “My presence will go with you and I will give you rest.” And Moses said to God, “If your presence will not go with me, do not bring us up from here’.
The background of this chapter is found in Exodus Chapter 32.
The disobedient Israel had broken their covenant and fell into shocking idolatry, by building a golden calf.
God was ready to destroy all of the people.
However, Moses pleaded with God not to destroy the stubborn hearted people.
In Chapter 33, God says, “Okay, I’ve changed my mind from destroying these people who have disobeyed me; Worshiped other Gods instead of me,
……………. *but I will not go with you Moses and with them into the promise land
*Moses doesn’t want to take even one step apart from the fullness of the presence of God;
What Moses did is, he stood in the gap before God and he said,
“God, I can’t go forward;
These people can’t go forward without you;
We need you;
If your presence doesn’t go with us, then we can’t go into this land;
We need you.”;
Poor Moses was in a place that many of us find ourselves: he was facing an incredibly difficult future and he didn’t have enough confidence to face it.
Then Moses started encountering with God.
This relationship provided him with the direction and guidance he desired.
Many of us may ask God, “How can I know the will of God”
There’s no secret formula guaranteed to unlock His will for us.
KNOW GOD’S WORKS, WHAT HE DOES,
KNOW GOD’S WAYS, WHO HE IS.
Let’s ask ourselves…
“Do I know Him?
Do I know His ways?
Do I know him intimately?
_When we love someone …..
………. We started knowing him/her.
………….. We started trusting him/her… then it leads to intimacy….and so on_ …
If we just SEE the works of God, then we don’t have that intimacy.
But when ….
………… *we know the ways of God,
………………. to know Him is to love Him,
………………….. to love Him is to trust Him,
……………………. to trust Him is to obey Him, and
………………………. to obey Him is to be blessed.
Blessed to be a Blessing to the Blessed People
Where Are The Spices
Moses received the first hand instructions from the Lord to bring " spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense ". ✒Exodus 25:6. Now Moses, as a mediator, passes on the same instructions to the Israelites ( Exodus 35:8 ). As a result the Israelites obeyed by bringing spices...for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense.( Exodus 35:28 ) They heard the instructions and they obeyed.
James writes, " Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. " ✒1:22
What are these spices?
The Lord required special spices i.e. myrrh, cinnamon, cane, cassia and olive ( Exodus 30:23-25). The anointing oil are to be used to anoint the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the Testimony and other furnishings in the sanctuary, and upon those who are serving in the sanctuary. ✒ Exodus 30:26-33.
The Israelites brought the spices from Egypt on their way to Canaan. The Egyptians never knew the real value of the spices, because they used them for earthly purposes. Now the Israelites are to use them for a heavenly purpose in God's Sanctuary.. Yes, we are precious bought with a price, and we are to offer our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God.✝
Who are these spices?
In Song of Songs 4:12-16, the church of Christ is compared to a garden where all kinds of spices grows-- calamus, cinnamon, myrrh..and all the finest spices ( v 14 ). When they begin to blossom, the sweet fragrance of mingled spices flows out, giving great joy to the One who walks in the garden.
* Let my Beloved come into the garden* sings the bride ( v 16b)
Can we sing
Come, Lord Jesus into my heart -- Thy garden of spices
If we are living a life pleasing to Him then like that garden of spices, we can give Him joy. Paul in his second letter to the church at Corinth writes, " For we are to God the aroma of Christ.." ( 2:15).
May the good Lord lead us how to gather the spices and how to serve Him in His Sanctuary.
Glory to God
