Voice of the Lord

_Deut 28 _clearly talks about the blessings and curses, important chapter to Remember.__

✒In the entire chapter God is asking us to *listen* to the word of God. Faith is not an overnight miracle to happen, its a life time commitment. As we keep on listening to God's word our faith grows.

__Hear cautiously
_Obedient heart will hear the word carefully._

_And all people of the earth shall see that thou !art called by the name of the LORD; and _~they shall be afraid of thee.~ (Deuteronomy 28:10)

Thinking about the current situation in our nation?

Are we Christians living a fearless life?

Many a times we are the one getting oppressed.we are afraid of going to ⛪. we are afraid of sharing the gospel. Not freely permitted to conduct prayer meetings. Things have to be changed, God will make this promise to come pass when we obey lords word and stand in firm faith.

And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot. (Deuteronomy 29: 5) _Jehovah jireh. Lord will provide all our needs.Even in the time of distress, God never let the Israelites to suffer for their basic needs.same way during our tribulations God is the one who cares us, comforts us, teaches us, saves us. We will come as a victories person without losing anything_ If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee: (Deuteronomy 30:4)

Picture of Israel nation comes to my mind

How once Israel people were shattered and ran away for their lives. Again in the year of 1948 Israel nation was born that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed. (Deuteronomy 31: 21)_ witness for the Israelites are none other than their own confession, often we forget to fulfill our _promises that we gave to the lord, sometimes our careless words, fake promises may Stand against us.
Let us be very cautious in our confessions and promises

Activate Your Mind, Eyes & Ears Deuteronomy 29:2-6

God's Covenant with Israel was given at Mount Horeb(Sinai). ✒ Exodus 19:5. It was confirmed and reiterated in the wilderness. ✒ Deut 5:2-3. Now when they were approaching the promised land, Moses renewed the covenant ✒ Deut 29: 1-14

In his address to the Israelites as a nation, Moses recounted the history of Israel in three stages:
1) Redemption of Israel and Exodus from Egypt (v 2-3)
2) God's provisions and protection in the wilderness (v 5-6)
3) Conquest of lands in the east of Jordan (v 7-8)

Moses reminded the Israelites that they have seen all those events of deliverance, signs and wonders in Egypt and in the wilderness. But because of their disobedience and rebellion, the Lord did not enable them to fully understand. They could not activate their Mind to understand, Eyes to see and Ears to listen in God's standard (v 4). On that day Moses summoned all the Israelites (v 1,10-11) and said that they were standing in the presence of the Lord, and God is making a covenant with them by sealing it with his oath (v 12-15). And I do believe that God had activated their faculties of seeing, hearing and understanding.

Do we have a mind that understands or eyes that see or ears that hear❓

The Bible says, "Ears that hear and eyes that see -- the Lord has made them both " ✒ Proverbs 20:12 It is not talking only about our physical hearing and sight but also about our ability to listen and obey and to perceive and understand, which comes from the Lord.

What must we do then
✅ ".. let your attitude be the same as that of Christ Jesus.." ✒ Philp 2:5
✅ "... be transformed by renewing of your mind..." ✒ Rom 12:2
✅ Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. ✒ Luke 11:34?
✅ Jesus said, "He who has ears, let him hear." ✒ Matthew 11:15?

This Bible Reading Program will surely help us to Activate Our Mind, Eyes and Ears as we devote our time in studying God's Word.

Glory to God
 Mark Boje, ArP

All these blessings shall come on thee and overtake thee if you hearken unto the voice of the lord your God. Deu. 28:2

You can't earn God's blessings but you will experience them best if you will obey the following conditions:
If you hearken diligently (complete obedience) to the voice of the lord. (v1_2,13,15)
If you observe and do all His commandments (v1,13,15)
If you walk in His ways (v9)
If you donot go aside from any of the words of God to the right or to the left (v13,14)
If you donot go after other gods to serve them (14)
If you revere the glorious and awesome name _ the lord your God

God's way to get man to obey Him is by hope of reward and threat of punishment. But under the new covenant,Jesus said If you love Me,keep my commandments John 14:15.when we follow God's way,we will experience more success than when we go our own way.Still suffering may come to those who are righteous (Matt 5:10-12).In fact sometimes suffering comes because we live righteously (2 Tim 3:12). When the wicked prosper, 2 things should be remembered.

God's patience and mercy permits wicked to enjoy things they do not deserve.
God's justice is not completed in this life time.

The Blessing of the Obedience

*If you obey the LORD your God and faithfully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, he will make you greater than any other nation on earth.
The LORD will bless everything you do.

But you must never disobey them in any way, or worship and serve other gods.

But if you disobey the LORD your God and do not faithfully keep all his commands and laws that I am giving you today, all these evil things will happen to you:

*The LORD will curse everything you do.

*If you do not obey faithfully all of God's teachings that are written in this book and if you do not honor the wonderful and awesome name of the LORD your God, he will send on you and on your descendants incurable diseases and horrible epidemics that can never be stopped.

For forty years the LORD led you through the desert, and your clothes and sandals never wore out. You did not have bread to eat or wine or beer to drink, but the LORD provided for your needs in order to teach you that he is your God.

Obey faithfully all the terms of this covenant, so that you will be successful in everything you do. *There are some things that the LORD our God has kept secret; but he has revealed his Law, and we and our descendants are to obey it forever. *I have now given you a choice between a blessing and a curse. When all these things have happened to you. Today, I am giving you a choice between good and evil, between life and death. ⚖ and I call heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Choose life.

Love the LORD your God, obey him and be faithful to him, and then you and your descendants will live long in the land that he promised to give your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.*

*Now, write down this song. Teach it to the people of Israel, so that it will stand as evidence against them.

"All glory and honour belongs to God alone"

Blessings for Obedience

To receive the overflowing blessings of the Lord the Israelites had to fully obey the Lord their God and carefully follow all His commands. The Lord would set them high above the nations of the earth and shower His blessings on them.

They will be blessed in the city and country.
The Lord will make them more prosperous in their crops, livestock and children.
Their food will be blessed.
They will be blessed in their going out and coming in.
Their enemies will be defeated.
The Lord will bless every thing they set their hand to do and prosper them.
They will be established as holy people.
They will be blessed with abundant prosperity.
God will send rain in its season.
They will lend to nations and never borrow.
They will be always be the head and not the tail. They will be at the top and never at the bottom.

© Though the blessings were abundant the Lord predicted Israel's rebellion and sin after the death of Moses and pronounced severe curses if they turn away from the Lord and forsake His commandments and laws.

Moses had to encourage Joshua as he would be leading the Israelites into the Promised Land.

He said, The Lord Himself will cross ahead of you. Do not be afraid or terrified at this rebellious people for the Lord your God goes with you. He will never leave you or forsake you. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged.

The greatest blessing God has given us is His free gift of salvation. We are expected to obey and follow His word and be a witness for Him.

Let us ask God to see the condition of our heart. Have we become lethargic careless or cold in our spiritual life? Let us ask God to revive us and bless us in our Christian life and in turn be a light in the world plunged in darkness.
