College of Veterinary Sciences, Jalukie, celebrated its its 5th Foundation Day on August 6.
The foundation stone for the institute was laid by Radha Mohan Singh, the then Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare on August 6, 2016.

Jalukie/ Peren: The College of Veterinary Sciences, Jalukie celebrated its 5th Foundation Day on August 6. The the Institute has grown from strength to strength and the institute has the first batch of final year students at present, according to a press release from the college.

Dean of the college Dr Arun Kumar Sangwan speak on the occasion and thanked TR Zeliang, the former Chief Minister for helping to set up the college and present CM Neiphiu Rio for his support. He thanked the Vice Chancellor, CAU for his commitment to start the college in the state of Nagaland, and Dr Capt. Dhanan Jaya Rao, former Dean for his contribution to the college.

He also spoke about the achievements and discussed the strategies for the future, while emphasizing on inculcating entrepreneurial skills and creative thinking amongst the student, making them as employers rather than job seekers after their studies.

On the occasion, the Institute felicitated Dr Imtiwati, Dr B Mili, Dr Mahesh Singh, Dr Malsawmkima, Njumthung Kithan and Takceulak for their pioneering efforts while establishing the college during the initial years.

Dr Imtiwati, the PRO of the college, thanked the people of Jalukie for supporting the college of Veterinary Sciences. Dr Soya Rungsung proposed a vote of thanks. The programme was observed maintaining SOP for COVID-19, the college informed
